Warmed House

We had a party, and boy howdy did it happen! Aoibheall's folks showed up with the girlies-O on Saturday and they helped immensely with the cleaning. My folks arrived on Saturday evening with a bed/desk combo for the Beatnik. I don't know about anyone else, but Aoibheall and I slept like stressed-out uncomfortable nervous people (which is to say, not much) but then Sunday came and people came and there was a party. And gosh, it was a good time.

On Monday we tidied up a bit and visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium. A few thousand other people had the same idea, but it was great fun. We looked at jellyfish and tuna and sea otters and listened to "Sea of Love" -- an all-around good time.

Aoibheall's parents got back on an airplane, my parents drove and drove and drove, and the babies went to bed. Aoibheall and I slept like two tired sleeping people. It was wonderful for everyone to have come over, we love you all and are always happy to see you.

And I never want to have another party, because that is one heck of a lot of work.
